If you are hoping to find the lowest possible medicare supplement rates in your county it will take a little bit of research. It is not the case that medigap companies are going to tell you what the lowest rate is. We often see car insurance commercials like Geico and Nationwide that claim they will compare the rates for you. Do not expect to see this when it comes to medicare and medial insurance. These companies know the value of a customer and they are going to try to sell the product. This is not something that is new to the industry. It is up to the customer to find the price point that suits them best. Just because a price is $10 cheaper a month it is not necessarily a good reason for someone 66 or 67 to choose that financial product. Take into consideration that these companies offer incentives with other products in a customer signs up in 2013 or 2014. They may offer additional benefits like diabetes testing supplies or a pharmacy discount for prescription drugs that are not covered by Medicare Part D.
